Karsey Glass Controller Duties

The mission for the Controller is to manage all company accounting-financial, information technology and human resource activities to assure profitability and compliance .  The controller provides financial information reports to the management team both establishing and maintaining internal controls. The controller must focus on financial performance while creating an enjoyable culture for employees that are focused on teamwork and delivering ROS. 

The controller reports to and collaborates with the Owner/President and General Manager to discuss key priorities for the financial success of the company. To be successful, you will need to know financial performance matters and profits within the construction industry developing and managing controls, provide financial reports, managing HR services while having a deep analysis of finances, cash flow and accounting activities. 
 

General Job Duties

  • Provide Financial plans and budgets

  • Manage Accounts Receivable and accounts payable

  • Provide Job Costing through labor and material reports

  • Manage banking relationships and accounts

  • Work with managers to achieve profitable goals.

  • Provide owner and management team with weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly financial statements and reports

  • Manage cash flow

  • Assure expenditures are in accordance with contracts, agreements, and tracked appropriately in Quickbooks

  • Manage commercial banking relationships to facilitate an appropriate credit resource under competitive terms.

  • Make bank deposits and receipts of money

  • Provide inventory support and controls including maintaining and recording entries as requested

  • Maintain fixed assets in asset software and make corresponding adjustments to ledgers

  • Assist Owner as requested

  • Maintain prompt and regular attendance

  • Administer benefits program

 

Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years of accounting and finance experience.
* Knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Outlook, Excel
* Leadership/Management Experience Required
* Knowledge of the construction industry strongly preferred.
